Sunday Homitz, Owner

A licensed physical therapist, founded Body Technic Systems®, Inc. in 1997 as a holistic physical therapy, personal fitness, and movement arts center. She is a certified Pilates instructor, a Body-Mind Centering Practitioner, and is a specialist in performance arts physical therapy.

In addition, Ms. Homitz is a certified Gyrotonic® Expansion System trainer, providing her physical therapy and private training clients with a full spectrum of mind-body techniques for rehabilitation and optimal wellness. She conducts teacher training schools in Pilates, Gyrotonic®, and her innovative Sports Performance Arts (SPA) Program. Sunday is also a life-long dancer and holds a BFA in Dance Performance from Lake Erie College; Pedagogy.

Anita Artzner (Pilates)

Anita has been teaching Pilates, mat and machine, for over a decade at Body Technic Systems®, Inc. She is certified with Core Dynamics® and Body Technic Systems®, Inc. 

Anita, also runs her own studio in Canton, Ohio since 2000, and has over 25 years of Ballet experience through the Canton Ballet. 

Carol Baglia ( Buteyko )

Being one of only 25 Certified Buteyko Institute of Breathing Practitioners in the United States. Carol is passionate about sharing this viable option with others for restoring well being. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with an Associate of Applied Science from Lakeland Community College. Carol is degreed, licensed, certified and registered as a Respiratory Therapist.

Joan Hartshorne ( Gyrokinesis®, Gyrotonic® )

After studying at the Jose Limon Studio in New York City, Joan Hartshorne danced with the Jose Limon Company. Joan also studied at the Martha Graham School, the Alwin Nikolais Studio, and the Connecticut College Summer School of Dance.

Joan's choreography has been performed by the Karamu Dancers, Lake Erie Opera Company, the Cleveland Institute of Music, the Cleveland Ballet Guild, the Cleveland Chamber Orchestra, the Covenant Dancers, Dance Center Company, and Case Western Reserve University.

Joan was the director of the Karamu Dancers, faculty at the Dance Center of Cleveland, Director of the Covenant Dancers, and is currently a faculty member at the Beck Center for the Performing Arts.

In addition, Joan is a certified instructor of both Gyrokinesis® and Gyrotonics®.

She holds a BFA in Dance from Case Western Reserve Univesity, Cleveland, Ohio.

Gary Schudel ( Gyrotonics®, Gyrokinesis® )

Gary is a certified Gyrotonic Expansion System® and Gyrokinesis® instructor. He began practicing Gyrotonic® work for physical therapy and rehabilitation purposes in September of 1999 following a motorcycle accident. He found it to be an effective method of alleviating chronic back pain. Gary has a strong background in Yoga, and was certified to teach in 1984.
In addition, Gary is also a Gyrotonic® pre-trainer.

Michael "Aranha" Smith (Capoeira)

Aranha has been involved as a student of various martial arts since early childhood, involving Karate, Tae Kwon Do and Wrestling. He began learning capoeira in the summer of 2004 with Serpente Negra Capoeira under Formado Esperto. Having known of the beauty of the art for some time, Aranha jumped right into classes immediately as a dedicated student of the art and of Serpente Negra Capoeira Academy.Since then and throughout he has been dedicating himself as a student of Capoeira for the Serpente Negra Capoeira Academy and the Capoeira community, attending workshops with Mestres, Contra Mestres, Professors and Formandos throughout the Capoeira community to better himself to one day be " Instructor" in Capoeira. Recently, as a lead student of SNC Academy in Cleveland, OH, he has been teaching kids and adult classes under Contra Mestre Serpente Negra.

Amanda Noblett (Pilates)

Keith Lowe  ( T'ai Chi ) 

Keith began his martial arts training in Chinese Military Combat Shuai-Chiao at the Ho Chun Institute of Chinese Fighting Arts under Grand Master Gene Chicoine in 1989. He continues to instruct at Ho Chun in Akron, Ohio. Chinese Military Combat Shuai-Chiao is a compilation of Shuai-Chiao, Tai-Chi, Hsing-Yi, Pa-Qua, and Ba-Chi; the best techniques from each Chinese internal style to create the most dominant martial training in history. It is the mother of all martial arts dating back prior to 2690 B.C. Keith has been certified by the International Shuai-Chiao Association the rank of black belt while being extensively trained in the various wellness and performance improvement benefits of Qi-Gung programs such as Bone-Marrow Washing. He has also been authorized to teach various specialty martial programs such as iron body, iron palm, and muscle restructuring.

Nodar Shakarashvili (Massage)

A Licensed Massage Therapist from 2004, Master of Physical Therapy from 2009, PhD from 1986, Assistant Professor of TGU from 1988.
Mr. Shakarashvili is providing to his massage therapy clients different types of preventive massages (Relaxation Massage, Shaping Massage, Sports Massage, Anticellulite Massage) and therapeutic massages ( Deep Tissue Massage, Trigger Point Massage, Myofascial Release Massage) and Manual Physical Therapy, Mr. Shakarashvili provides extensive practice in the art of holistic healing.

Linda Sylte, LMT, CMTPT (Myofascial Trigger Point Therapy)

Linda's interest in bodywork began in 1985 with the study
of Shiatsu at the Ohashi Institute in New York City.
Over the years, Linda has studied acupressure, qigong,
and T’ai chi in the U.S. and in China. Since earning her
massage therapy license in January of 2005, Linda has
worked extensively with auto- and job-related injuries.
